MTV Confirms POTC 2 & 3 Casting

Producer Jerry Bruckheimer is negotiating with Geoffrey Rush to star in a third "Pirates of the Caribbean" movie. "That's if there is a third one," Bruckheimer said. "We're hoping to start shooting [the second and third movies] in March, but we're waiting for a very big check from Disney." Bruckheimer said talk of Keith Richards playing Johnny Depp's father is premature, although Depp, Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley are all signed on to return, along with the director and writers from "Curse of the Black Pearl." - MTV

Domino Filming At The Stratosphere

An employee of Stratosphere Tower & Casino in Las Vegas reports that Tony Scott and his crew were shooting in the casino this week. Saturday morning they had set up several cameras at the casino floor. Some takes were also made in employee hallways. Visitors of the casino said they also had seen helicopter chase scenes being filmed up around the tower. Filming at the Startosphere ends today.

Yahoo News! reports that Hong Kong action hero Chow Yun-fat is set to star alongside Johnny Depp, Orlando Bloom, Geoffrey Rush, and Keira Knightley in the upcoming sequels of Pirates of the Caribbean. Chow will play the famous 15th century Chinese pirate Cheung Po Tsai for the second and third instalments of the film.

It has been reported by reviewjournal.com that Las Vegas topless entertainer Roberta Lorincz, the lead dancer in the X Girls topless revue at Aladdin's V Theatre, will double for Keira Knightley in her love scene in Domino. Keira backed out of the scene because she didn't feel comfortable showing her body.

This week starts out at Valley of Fire State Park and will continue on to the Stratosphere, which provides the movie's climactic location. Keira Knightley has suffered from burns, after a stunt during the filming of new film Domino went wrong, reports Digital Spy. An insider told The Mirror, "Keira was firing two guns when one of the shells ricocheted out and hit her. It was a corker of a burn, but she hasn't complained and has just got on with the job."

The Jacket will premiere on the Sundance Festival which kicks off for 10 days on January 20. The movie (directed by John Maybury, written by Marc Rocco) stars Adrien Brody as a veteran who travels into the future and sees his own death - and must decide what to do with that knowledge. Great news everyone! According to Beck/Smith Hollywood Exclusives, Keira Knightley will return for both Pirates of the Caribbean 2 & 3 which will be shot simultaneously beginning late February in the Caribbean. Returning to the cast is also Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp, and Geoffrey Rush.

Bruckheimer Talks Pirates 2 and 3

The producer of Pirates of the Caribbean and the upcoming films, Jerry Bruckheimer, explained today in a small interview published by Latino Review, that the original cast will return in the next and final installment of the trilogy. “We have the same team that did the first one and hopefully we can have the same success. It’s the same two writers who rewrote the first one and same director, same three actors initially and we’re negotiating with the rest of them, so hopefully we’ll get everybody back." He also says that "Treasures of the Lost Abyss" is not the title of the upcoming movie, as it was suggested by IMDb, and it is yet to be revealed.

I just finished watching the new Pirates of the Caribbean features (Lost Disc DVD) and, even though they very quite good, I'm a bit dissapointed that Keira didn't appear in more scenes. However, at $24.99 this 3-DVD package is a bargain, and I would recommend anyone who enjoyed the movie and doesn't already have it, to purchase it. I also made a small clip of Keira walking the plank. Enjoy! :)

According to Digital Spy, Keira Knightley will start working on the sequel of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, after she's finished filming Domino. And speaking of Domino... Keira is currently undergoing martial arts training, so if you happen to run into her on the street, watch out! :)
